Blue Mountain Cabinet Works cabinetry – made exclusively for Pine Grove – is designed, built and tested to look great today and for years to come. Blue Mountain Cabinet Works employs the same materials, tools and techniques utilized by many of the best store-bought or custom-built cabinets, at a fraction of the cost. Simply put, our cabinets are heavier, stronger and squarer, and have undergone rigorous testing and certification each year in order to retain the prized status as a “certified cabinet.”
Blue Mountain Cabinet Works Standard Construction
Front Frame: The front frame of the cabinet is ¾” thick solid wood in Red Oak, Hard Maple, or Cherry.
Drawer Front: The drawer fronts are created with ¾” thick solid wood that is hand selected and inspected.
Doors: Cabinet doors are ¾” thick wood doors, finished with a high-grade, furniture-quality process.
Bottom Panel: The bottom panel is constructed from engineered ½” thick moisture- and stain-resistant easy clean, blonde interiors.
Back Panel: The back panel is made from ¼” thick engineered wood that extends the entire width and height of the cabinet (to the floor) for extra strength and stability, and is finished with moisture- and stain-resistant, easy-clean, blonde interiors.
End Panel: The end panel is created from 3/8” engineered wood with precision machined grooves, cut to accept back and bottoms (and tops on wall cabinets).
Toe Kick Cover: The covers for recessed toe kicks are crafted with matching grain and color.
Corner Gussets: Corner gussets are installed to brace and strengthen the entire box.
Bolstered Joints: Extra strength is added at base cabinet corners and behind wall cabinets.
Drawer Construction: The drawers are constructed using metal drawer sides with moisture- and stain-resistant easy-clean white MDF interiors. Kitchen drawers are full-length (typically 20”) for the maximum flexibility in drawer organization.
Drawer Glide System:
Hinges: Adjustable, concealed hinges offer a clean appearance.
Shelves: Base and wall cabinets are built with ¾” thick shelves made of durable engineered wood.
Blue Mountain Cabinet Works Deluxe Upgrades
Dovetailed Drawers (shown below): ½” thick, solid maple drawer cores with dovetail joinery, completed with full-extension, concealed, under-mount, ball-bearing glides, and a self-close.
Soft-Close Drawers: In combination with dovetailed drawers, soft-close hardware creates silent and gentle closings every time by regulating movement, allowing cabinets to gently close themselves.

The Natural Beauty of Hardwoods
The natural beauty and variations found in all hardwoods are much like those of a snowflake. Each tree, like an individual snowflake, has characteristic differences in color and grain produced by Nature. These differences represent its Natural Beauty.
The three most popular hardwoods – Red Oak, Maple and Cherry – persevere in harsh environments by transforming its nutrients into wood with beautiful grain patterns. Natural occurrence caused by trauma or stress to the trees as they grow – traumas such as high winds, freezing temperatures, insects and even closeness of other trees can create color variations. These color variations and deposits are all part of the life cycle of the trees that we use to build your cabinetry. Each of these precious woods has it’s own characteristics as well.
Red Oak is a solid, open grained hardwood with a color range from white to yellow to gray to reddish. It is sometimes streaked with mineral deposits and varies from close-knit to open-grain arch patterns.
Maple is a strong wood with close-knit grains with areas of varied density. It is predominantly off-white in color and occasionally contains small deposits of mineral that are light tan and even black. Due to these characteristics, Maple accepts stain with varied results, especially in the darker colors.
Cherry is a rich hardwood that is usually pinkish-brown in color. This color can vary from pinkish-brown to white, green, red and even gray. A natural characteristic of Cherry is that it will darken and mellow with age. This occurs through light exposure and oxidation regardless of the finish applied. You may notice black deposits of “gum” in your Cherry products.
